MISSION/VISION STATEMENT

~ by Robyne Beaubien

I have heard this called a Ministry Statement, a Mission Statement, a Purpose Statement, and a Vision Statement. Simply put, this is a paragraph that describes the focus of your ministry. For our purposes today we will call it a Mission Statement. Your statement should relate to the overall ministry focus of your church and even the specific needs of your women.

Here are some good examples of WM Mission Statements:

"The purpose of the Women's Ministry of the Desert Springs Church is to encourage women to become enthusiastic disciples of Jesus Christ, as we each become the woman that God created us to be.
Our goal is that each woman intimately know the heavenly Father, lovingly relate to one another, and advance the gospel in family and community. We accomplish these goals through equipping and outreach events such as Bible studies, creative fellowship meetings, annual retreat, and special events.
For more information on women's ministry activities at Desert Springs Church, please contact us by phone at the church office (number)."~ Desert Springs Church WMl

Welcome to Celebrate! Ministries ~A ministry designed for women ages 18 to 118~ Our activities, programs and events have been planned with your needs in mind. Our prayer is that you are encouraged on your spiritual journey and enriched by meeting a few friends along the way. Join us this year as we Celebrate! ~ NorthRidge Church WM, Plymouth, Michigan

Sisters at Heart is the women's ministry of Midway Baptist Church. Our goal is to encourage, nurture and disciple women in the following four areas:

  • LOOKING UP - growing in their relationship with God through worship, Bible study and prayer
  • LOOKING IN - developing women as emotionally healthy, productive and fulfilled individuals and growing them in their sense of identity and self-worth through practical teaching and accountability
  • LOOKING AROUND - growing relationships with other Christians through fellowship activities
  • LOOKING OUT - growing their witness and ministry effectiveness through service opportunities.

Purpose Statement: "The Women's Ministry of Wesley Mission is designed to provide an opportunity for women to realize their full potential and discover a place of rest in the context of the busy lives which most women lead. The goal of this ministry is for women to encourage one another and to help each other grow in their Christian lives so that they in turn be a blessing to others." ~ Wesley Mission WM
